how likely is septic shock to occur in few hrs.....could it be fat embolism in pul artery......it matches with hypovolaemic and DIC as well |

In this case, septic shock could have occurred in a few hours... remember he is diabetic --- ie. prone to infections and the wounds were severe (entry point for bacteria).
I agree that without DIC the answer would have been hypovolemic shock. Correct me if I am wrong ;) |
