1.When doing palpation of abd. in case of abd.pain is it correct to check rebound t. on an area with pain during deep palpation?Be aware of not repeating painful manuever.
2.When counseling is it relevant to tell the patient '' should do that'';Do you know some other terms ? |

1) think u should not do it in area of pain do it a little away(any one pls correct if I am wrong)
2)U can say that Mr.Xyz I learned this.................... from ur hx and I would suggest
That u try to modify this in n do it in this........ way.

about the first question it is better for exam purpose and also in real life to press one time on pain area, so start palpation away from paiful areas and then before pressing on pain area tell sp that u will press deeply and then realease your hand and ask him to tell you which hurts more ,by this way u can test for direct and rebound tenderness and guarding by one press |
