  clara cells are nonciliated secretory constituent of terminal respiratory epithelium,secrete claracell secretory protein CCSP,inhibit neutrophil recruitment and activation
It trap s airborne toxins and produce cytochrome p450

  produce cyto p450 ?? or they detoxify subtances by cyto450 enzymes located in smooth er. they are mitotically active cell divide to form both ciliated n non ciliated cells,they also degrade mucus produce by upper resp tract
