A 52-year-old white male who has untreated bronchogenic carcinoma comes to your office with a 1-week history of dyspnea, facial edema, and marked neck vein distention which has been progressive over the last 2 days. A chest roentgenogram confirms a mass in the right hilum with a small pleural effusion in the right hemithorax.
Immediate management should consist of
a.pericardicentesis
b.mediastinoscopy
c.exploratory thoracotomy

i think it should be mediastinoscopy...as u have to get a tissue diagnosis first...to find out if its radio or chemo sensitive before u start therapy...so should be bbbbbbbbbbb |
