Dear friends, I 'm still not fully clear about this scramble system ...
as far as I know .......you can apply for about 30 programs through ERAS for free and the rest if you pay..... so where does the question of faxes and phones arise.... are there any programs which do not accept the ERAS ...?
also in case I do have to fax, do I need to ask for return of all documents now...?
could anyone shed some light....
thanks. |

1. you can apply to 30 programs free through ERAS, but you cannot go beyond that number, even if you want to pay.
2. Once you apply through ERAS, you need to call the programs and talk to them. some will want you to fax them your documents, on top of what ERAS is sending.
3. If you want to contact more than the 30 programs allowed on ERAS, then you need to email/fax your documents to those additional programs.
4. Not all programs use ERAS for the scramble. Maybe some programs that you are interested in do not participate in ERAS for scramble. so you will need to send them your documents by fax or email.
5. ask ERAS to send you back your documents. It will help you for numbers 2-4 above. ERAS will keep a copy anyway so you don't have to worry about that. But there is a $15 fee plus additional shipping if you choose FedEx instead of the post office.
