hi all
i was just wondering about the further options if i am unsuccessful in match and scramble. my visa expires in may. i would like to stay back and get USCE before next match. i do not know how to prolong my stay in USA by legal options. is it worthwhile to stay back and join as a student in community colleges?? on a F1 visa. do i have to take GRE for that? or shld i go back to my home country and apply for a fresh visitor visa showing cause as observership or externship? Please any one with experience comment and help me out..

hi friend
it all depends on how much money you are ready to spend while in usa. Either u can take GRE and get into a MPH prog ...a real good option and meanwhile u can do some clinical clerkship for LOR and finish your step3. or if u do not want to do GRE u can join KAplan for some english and gmat courses as they are very inexpensive coursese like 1500--2000 dollars for the entire year almost( i am approximating) and do some observership and do finish step 3 which is veryyyyyyyyyyyyyy imp to strengthen ur CV. for everything you have to spend momey to stay in usa. Lot of my friends did that and did some odd jobs at dunkin donuts and etc where u dont have to show ur EAD. of course u will be on F1 visa and thats a good visa to keep u here. If u get a MPH F1 then u can get multiple entry and can visit ur country . If u get Kaplan visa then u r stuck here because u dont get multiple entry. If u r determined to stay here there are a lot of ways to do it. I have been in those shoes and I know what a pain it is but now I got my GC thro my family so I am relieved.
GOOD luck and hope this helps |
