hi folks,
It finally happened; i got 99! Was worried before the results were out. No more worries now. i will share a little bit of my experience that may be helpful.
Studied for 5 months, full time
with 3 breaks of 1 week each in between
Materials:
Kaplan notes 3 times
Goljan notes 2 times
Goljan audio once
USMLE world once (around 65 - 75%)
kaplan subjectwise questions: around 70%
Kaplan simulation: 74% (3 weeks back)
ECFMG sample questions: 42, 40 & 38 %
Stay cool and calm. It's doable. You have to be focussed; u dun have to study anything else for score like this.

Thank you everyone!
Will try to answer all of you.
1. Putin, I had a few calculations related to Hardy-Weinberg equations, lots of graphs and charts. Regarding the charts and graphs, it's extremely important that you have core concept of the issue and most of the time the Qs with charts are easier to answer with. Don't loose your focus and remail cool during the exam which is sometimes becomes too tiring and boring.
2. Skylight, I did FA ( I forgot to mention it) once. It was helpful. I didn't do NBME.
3. Lisasimpson, Kaplan is more than enough for Neuroanat. Anatomy is not very high yield otherwise. Patho slides, Goljan is excellent and some of the slides were repeated! Histo, Radio: I went to through webpath, which is a great resource but you have to be very choosy as it contains much more than we need.
4. Cytoplasm, your preparation seems to be going well. Some of my frens didn't do Goljan for patho yet did they score 99. So, dont worry. At this moment, try to read what you have already read more than spread wings out because learning new things at the last moment doesn't help.
5. I got my results exactly after 3 weeks.
6. I come from Nepal.

hi vikram..can u tell me how to do kaplan simulated questions? can we subscribe it online? and what are the important slidec/pictures to see in web path? hearty congrats for u..wish u good luck in the remaining exams. |
