Im kind of happy !!
Despite not have done none of my steps I just signed a contract for a 1 year externship at JMH in Miami, Fl for General Surgery!!
Well I guess sometimes its good to have contacts!!

No GC yet but really dont know yet if staying in the US is the move I want to make.
I mean all aside notihng is assured if Ill get a residency position and well im already over 3 years of graduated.
I will take this opportunity to learn more and see what happens. A physician I know that currently has his private practice told me that prior to getting his residency in JMH he did unpaid externship for 1 year but that it was worth it.
Lets see where this takes me.

hey alquds, or mazzwillidin.. could you tell me you said they have externships in IM? I live in the area, and have never heard of any of those, and paid too? Are you sure?
I highly doubt that, unless are you talking about the D.O.s?
do you write scripts? bc without a license it's hard to do that, bc the hospital has to license you.

I am so glad for you!!! That is a big step! Luis I am a JMH employee and I will be very interested in doing an externship but I have not idea where do I need to go to apply. Could you please give me at least some tips?
