hi all
the OHSU gen surgery program had communicated with me via mail sayin that it does sponsor visas....ans so i went ahead and applied now they are sayin that they do not sponsotr visas but they accept ecfmg J1 , so they are not able to accept my application.
I explained that J1 comes about after the applicant is accepted and if they accept the ecfmg J1 then they do not have any reason to refuse my application. They have not responded after that...25 bucks flushed out just becuase someone is half asleep while replying to thier mails.....
That guy wont get IV fluids when in shock goddamnit..... |

i got a mails on eras and my hotmail telling me this about rejection.
Now he writes back and tells me tat he will review the application but that an interview is a faroff thing and that they do not prefer IMGs and all that . He has also asked how much i spent applyin to his program?
What shoud l i write? |

Tell me about it dude. this is Fcuk ridiculous. i also got the same info. there goes my 25 dollars for no reason. they dont sponsor any visa my ass. god please help us all. why in the hell then they would tell us that they would accept J1. Bulllllllllll Shiiiiiitttttttttt the money goes down the drain....i am sooo pisseddddddddd offffffffffff... what the helll |

I think I speak for a few of us when I ask 9811734044, if you used a commercial Residency Matching list to find this Program, and if so, which list mis-informed you?

no list folks...I had spent two months doin my own detailed research on programs....but towards the end aug i got jittery and got a list anywez just to double check......and this was MAR , they has a few things to look after and update and i pointed it out to them which they took as a positive feedbck and were wrking on it....they did not misinform me, they said no visa but i applied anyways as i had the email confirming that they accept the J1 visa....anywez i have replied sayin that it costs pretty much same as the other progms but i would be happy if you reviewed it at par with the others....whatsay? having said this MAR is the most uptodate and the most accurate list available in the market as of today.....
can this person actually relay out to all other programs tellin them that here is one guy who is bitchin about his 25 bucks so you all give him a hard time as well....i dunno mebe i am just paranaoid? |

(thanks for that review about MAR - it makes deciding on one easier).
As for the possibility that they will bad mouth you. I highly doubt it. These people tend do be solo artists in their work, and Resident selection is a very intimate thing for a Program.
I doubt they share any info with other PDs. |
