I got a rejection from UTMB, Galveston, Paediatric programme.
I am still waiting to know the reason for refusal. Probably year since graduation( 3years) |

Hi everyone
UTMB galveston is a big program but i dint expected any program to send rejections so early....
I havent applied to this program...Should i apply to this program...
90/97/cs pass/ecfmg certified/step 3 yet to take. 2007 graduate..4 month observership and research experience with no publications
wat i know is they dont take many imgs..although i am not sure...
please suggest if it is worth spending 25 dollars in this program

As u graduated within 3 years from now, I think u don't get a rejection. UTMB is a good programme, but not IMG friendly. But as u meeet their criteria better to apply. |

UTMB people dont even look at ur application.there is a lot of local lobby is there.i know guys with 10 yrd grad cut off selected for positionif u know some one there they will call u for iv giving to and fro flight charges also.one guy from uk was selected like that.so dont expect iv calls from utmb mostly senior residents wifes ,their brothers and their girl friends like this it will go.the best program with very bad fame .most of senior residents there are all imgs and they are dectating selecton process.i got this info from my colleague who is a citizen stays in galveston.his application wasnt even downloaded but got rejection imgaine ......... |

Hae all your documents been uploaded? including LOR and USMLE trascripts, etc? When I track my application, I get "not uploaded to post office yet" message under LORs and USMLE transcripts although they received all the documents by aug 18. The first LOR was received by them on Aug 4!! |
