i applied to UAB on Sep.2, so far they just downloaded my application package.
2000 graduate here, GC holder because my spouse is an american citizen.
my backfround
Just got Phd in neuroscience field in this summer.
step 1: 92
step 2 CS: pass
will take step 2 ck in early December.
some papers in neuroscience field.
5 month OB in neurology and 6 months OB in IM.
Applied to 30 neurology program and 25 preliminary IM program. |

I applied to 49 programs so far.
I havent applied to Prelim, yet. I was waiting on my IM LoR and I was also thinking I sud apply to prelim if i get some response from Neuro program, but that may not be good idea, I will apply as soon as i get few IM LoR scanned...
I havent got any rejection yet
from Maryland, i got an email, they are in the processof reviewing my application and will send invitation of interview, if they decide to offer on
Any IMG friendly states on west if you guys know? |

monalisa u should have gone all out for neurology
you have a golden opportunity..
you should have applied to a mix of 100 programs....u will easily get into a program !!!
but now u r counting on a chance ! |

two of my friends matched to neuro in this July.
our background is very similar. so I made my neuro list based on their IVs last year. Each of them got over 12 IVs last year. and information from other friends from my department who matched to neurology before.
122 neuro programs total from FREIDA.
some have USCE(externship and OB do not count), graduation year cut off line, some of them r not IMG friendly, and plus location problem(cause I do not have california letter and I do not want to go to CA either:-), trust me, my spouse work on this NEURO list for me for one month, that is why my final neuro list is only 30 programs. |
