Donor: male (A*B)F1 mouse with a strain A father and strain B mother has Y from strain A.
a. (A*B)F1 female (A mother,B father) and b. (A*B)F1 female (A father,B father) are female (they have no Y) so they will recognize that allele on Y as non-self and will reject.
c. (A*B)F1 male (A mother,B father) has Y from strain B so will reject Y from strain A.
The only choice left is D which is from the same background composition as the donor and has Y from strain A like the donor.
