  A 29-year-old woman comes to the emergency department because of a 3-hour history of severe left-sided abdominal pain She says that the pain came on suddenly when she was watching her favorite television show. She has no medical problems and takes no regular medications She is sexually active with 2 different partners and “usually uses condoms for contraception her last menstrual period began 10 days ago Her temperature is 37 °C (986 °F), blood pressure is 120/80 mm Hg. pulse is 80/mm. and respirations are 20/mift Physical examination shows moderate left lower quadrant tenderness with no guarding or rebound tenderness Rectal examination shows soft, brown guaiac negative stool A urine pregnancy test is negative The most approprIate next step Is 10
A. begin antibiotic therapy, intravenously
B. obtain a pelvic ultrasound
C. order a CT scan of the abdomen
Q D. order quantitative B hCG levels
E. perform a pelvIc examination

The question is asking about next step in Mx, this can be followed by other steps like U/S or CT.....etc
