* Notary public for identification?

  Hey,

I am sure this question has been answered but i sure as hell cannot find it on the forums. I am in the UK and am wanting to take step 3 after i graduate. i have seen that i need to complete a certification of identity form and that this form needs to be signed by a notary public. i have been searching online and it seems that a notary public can range from solicitors to other types of lawyers. if this is the case, can i just take this form to a solicitor to have it signed? Could i just have it signed and stamped by my medical school before i leave? I am somewhat confused...any help would be most appreciated!

  Most banks have notaries, so do Western Unions and other places like that. They're literally everywhere. You don't need to go to a lawyer. If someone at your medical school is a notary, you can have it stamped and signed by them.
