studied on and off for 3 months , for the first two months just 2 /3 hrs a day
took nbme after the first reading , got 340 , so got more serious about it
in the last one month studied for 7 -8 hrs
read ck notes (all of them) especially im/ob/gyn/peds.
uw mcqs.
kaplan q bank.
went throught mtb in the last week.
practiced ccs uw cases on the software once.
uwsa 6 days before exam 500/217

first day of the exam , i found the outpatient mcqs easier than inpatient and er ones
overall i was happy
second day , er was again tough for me , missed 1 q
ccs was an interesting experience , it is not about the cases from uw ccs book, by keeping your mind open to a list of differentials ccs is manageable , no matter what kind of case you get
you just look at the presenting complaints make your differential
then order relevant labs, and depending upon patient's condition either stabilize first or order examination. then after initial set of labs and initial treatment comes transferring the patient to the appropriate level of care home/inpatient.er whatever, none of my cases ended before 18 mins. and none of them showed any drastic improvement , i got ccs performance evaluation on the higher side .

thats about it , i hope it will be of some help. all the very best to everyone planning to take the exam.
