For a patient on CCS that comes in undiagnosed on the final order screen should we start HART for the patient?

how did you guess its cryptpoccal meningitis?

do HIV test first to see if pt has it...

before this if you have evidence of cryptococcal meningtiis then treat pt with IV amphotericin B + flucytosine

you start HAART after 4 weeks of antifungal therapy to avoid risking IRIS (immune reconstitution inflammatory syndrome)

It is case 42 office case of head ache. Did full PE found generalized lymphadenoapthay and transferred to ED. Treated him but was not sure about starting HART. Thanks for the reply.

dude i did that case and had a total mental brain dead/block moment and gave the patient the wrong med!!! i was like why isn't he getting better i gave him meds for crypto...i had forgotten to give it to him .
It says you give HAART after the patient shows improvement. so i guess its the last 2 minu=.
which meds are you giving ?

there is another one with the 29 year old woman with PCP.
i have trouble remembering HAART drug names so giving efavirenz, indinavir and emtricitabine.
