how to differentiate campylobacter jejuni from vibrio cholera in lab
Vibrio ---- darting type motility ?????????? (very much doubted!)
n also growth in alkaline media ?????
cholera Comma shaped/ campylo comma or S shaped growth at 42°
Motility shooting star motility of vibrio
One way to differentiate the two is that campylobacter jejuni causes bloody diarhea and is oxidase positive and urease negative. Vibrio cholerae causes watery diahrea (rice water). The toxin permanently activates the Gs.
growh in alkaline media is correct ans
v cholera can be grown in alkaline media
both are rod shaped motile
besides yours, campylo is microaerobic and in microscopic study campilo is curve rod and gull's wing
