how does mitral valve stenosis cause pulmonary hypertension? there is increased systolic pulmonary artery pressure in severe mitral stenosis? how come?
please.................help
there is a backward transfer of elevated left atrial pressure...but how come there is increase pulmo artery systolic pressure? how come artery is involved? isnt the bakward flow from mitral valve going into pulmonary veins?
think abt the pulmonary vasculature as a whole....the backpressure on the pul veins wud eventually affect the pul arteries...This inc arterial pressure is rather a passive response due to a rise in left atrial pressure.

I guess no body else cares to respond whenever i ask any question......either my questions are stupid or people have made groups and they respond to each other and dont seem to bother abt any body else they are not friends with....and what they are asking....

any ways thanks straightforward....
