I'm not sure of the answer to this question....Any ideas anyone???

When a movement is planned but not executed, which part of the brain would have an increase in activity in a functional MRI???

Thanks in advance
i think premotorcortex involved in planning
for sure the premotor area
Thank you both...The correct answer is pre-central gyrus aka premotor cortex....I was wondering if you can Identify it on this picture....I'll try to attach it a few different ways...Anyone that can help would be great....

I know it either B,C, or D.......I cannot find any other brain cross sections to identify the exact position.....If anyone has any links or info it would be great appreciated...Thanks Smile
its B.. C is motor area and D is sensory.. anyone has different opinion??
i also think it's b. Pankyash, you're right
I've really looked hard for this one....I think its B or C....There are really no other brain pics I can find with this type of cut.....In a quick look you would assume B since the homologous photo, but we are dealing with the inside cut and therefore it can be C....If anyone finds a picture similar with the parts labeled please post it Smile
On the medial surfece, the cingulate sulcus (the one that goes around the corpus callosum) continues upwards with marginal sulcus, and right before that you can see a little bit of the central sulcus.

Maybe this will help:
