with history of hypertension and dyslipidemia is on HCTZ and statins. He has been complaining of weakness and paresthesias since 3-4 months, but his doc dismissed it as S.E. of statins and the diuretic. He has always been a social drinker, but after a weekend at a friends' place, he lands up in the ER with diplopia and confusion. His symptoms could have been prevented with a supplement of:
1. Potassium
2. Calcium
3. Magnesium
4. Chromium

ans is 3, thiamine def associated with MAGNESIUM.
