A 62-year-oldwoman is brought to the emergency department by her daughter, who is concerned her mother had a "stroke." According to the daughter, the woman woke up that morning not knowing where she was. She was confused and did not remember what had happened the day before. She recently saw her primary care physician, who started her on a new medication. A complete physical and neurologic examinationis unremarkable,as is a CT scan of the head. alpprazolam is a short acting benzo,with short t1/2.but it can produce confusion ,disinhibition,blackouts and amnestic problems in elderly ,
sertalline does not cause cognitive impairment
