Renal tubular secretion of K ion.. 100% depend on
A-negative luminal potantial
B-filtrate flow
C-both of them
D-non of them
luminal thing I guess and flow of the H ??
A
A
A---negative luminal potential
Raheem, post the answer please !
answer is....C.....GOOD LUCK
Any explanation Raheem please. we want to know the concept ....
Thanx
Urine flow rate is responsible for both Na and K
Mannitol increases urnie flow (which is why it is used in Shock) , this increase urine flowrate eventually causes hyponatremia.Becos there is not enough time for Na reabsorption becos of increased rate of flow.
So i am guessing this is the same reason , for K.
Hi
@rtpcr.
you answer is very logic , but the word secretion in the stem question is bothering me . it is about the capacity of RCT to secrete K, not to be unable to reabsorb it ,
Am I right or I just see tricks every where??
thanx.
