As you might know the entrance exam has 150 MCQ questions and one essay.
Psych=50
Medicine=50
Neuro=50
Psych - Kaplan CK, Psychiatry by Rodha K. Hahn
(study hard for the Psychopharmacology)
Neuro-Kaplan CK, High Yield Neuroanatomy
Medicine=Kaplan CK, Master The BOard for step 3, Uptodate
essay---totally unpredictable...practice GRE and GMAT essay samples

this book seems more like for Step 1 - Are you sure this is required?
2: Psychiatry by Rodha K. Hahn - Is this just a textbook or has a question bank as well?
3: Are questions more like Step 2CK usmleworld? Will it help doing that question bank? or will it be an overkill?

Hey guys. My apologies for not showing up so far, but I got busy with my step 2 CK preparation as my exam is nearing. I wanted to
get my focus back and I decided not to visit the forum too frequently, at least until I finish my exams in mid ooctober.
For the same reason I try not to check my eras inbox or email more than once every day.
My update so far:
2 rejections - bergen medical center and Univ. of Massechuettes.
2 acknowlegments - Univ. of Tennessee and NYPH columbia campus.
I spoke to couple of friends (doing psych residency and child fellowship) and they told
that many programs, especially in busy cities prefer candidates with experience because of their heavy case loads. Prior training is considered as one of the desirable criteria which was the main reason my friends got selected as well. (YOG 1995 & 2003).
So those who have solid psych background, good CV to back it up, and aI PS that reflects ur genuine interest, please be reasurred.. u will get something somewhere irrespective of mediocre scores or CS attempts.
I'll post again if I have any further information.

It's depends on how good you are in neuroanatomy. I read that book and I think it helped me..Psychiatry for Roda K. Hahn is a small book it doesn't have MCQ. If you read it several times you can actually remember all of it..(it takes 2 days to finish the book).
Most of the questions are Step 2 CK types.
