Double-stranded DNA can be denatured by heating and renatured by cooling.Renaturation under condition of high stringency has which of the following effects?

A)Considerable base mismatching is permitted
B)GC base pairing is inhibited
C)GT base pairing is promoted
D)Mismatched DNA hybridization is prevented

please,explain your answer
I think D is correct, because "high stringency" means that in order for the two strand to hybridize there should be minimal mismatch. Low stringency means that two strand can hybridize even if there is some mismatch between them
D. Heating breaks the Hydrogen bonds between G-C and A-T. Cooling will allow correct base pairing to still be between GC and AT, to allow the DNA to attain its original sequence and configuration. If this process is not followed with her degree of precision , them mismatching of bases will occure, introducing MUTATIONS
Thank you
Now i understand!
