if subacute bacterial endocaditis is diagnosis, with h/o dental procedure, what to pick, s. mutans or s. saguis?
dental caries is more caused by strep.mutans
but endocarditis is more cause by strep.sanguisbecoz it makes dextrans which bind to fibrin platelet aggregates and cause endocarditis
