A man comes in with sob,TIA.he has intermittent fever and a diastolic murmur.the murmur changes markedly with bodily position. The sedimentation rate is elevated.
1.what is the most likely dx?
2.what is the most accurate diagnostic test?
3.what is the t/t
1. atrial myxoma
2. echo
3. surgical removal
Yeah that's correct!!
Ans: atrial myxoma
Hint(murmur that changes markedly with bodily position) ,increase sedimentation rate, tia was due to embolization of myxoma
Dx:echo
T/tConfusedurgical removal is the only therapy!
