Is there anyone who can help me understanding the total cost/ fees involved with NRMP registration & further activities?

It depends if you are a strong applicant, won't apply to too many programs and you are applying local,probably a a couple of hundreds plus bus fare, and dry cleaning . But if you need to apply broadly for any reason, you probably are talking about a couple of thouldsands just in application fees, plus traveling expenses according to your interviews
