A 21-year-old man presented with a laceration and swelling of the dorsum of his right hand. The swelling had started approximately 12 hours after the patient hit another man in the mouth.The rapid onset of swelling and erythema are suggestive of what organism?
Is it staph a?
its nmixutre of organism

strep/staph..ekinella(10-30%)
tx.amoxicillin calvunate
if extensive damage we can go for surgical exploration as injury from human mouth can be dangerous.
Mixed with notably eikenella corrodens - - commonest in injuries of the clenched fist injuries hitting the moth resulting in laceration getting infected.
E corrodens is resistant to clindamycin, but susceptible to ampicillin and third generation cephalosporins, penicillin, ampicillin and tetracycline. So bewre trating a human bite wound with clindamycin - a purely eikenalla infected wound gets created.
