Thank you for applying to our program. You are currently ranked highly in the
"hold" category (not yet invited to interview, but not excluded).
This year we have over 360 applications for 4 spots and are planning on
interviewing about 40 candidates. Movement on the hold list depends on whether
the scheduled applicants keep their commitment to interview here. If after the
first days of interviews we are concerned about the quality of this pool we
will take another look at applications. I am sorry it is so competitive this
year.

hi guys! i'm freaking out a little about next week...i have my first interview...
at least today was productive...i was able to find the pants that i wanted and i went to the tailor so everything will fit just right! lol!
hi dg! didn't get anything like that...i was informed by a program that they had received my stuff including the mspe and that due to the overwhelming number of applicants they have yet to decide whether i'll be invited or not...i thought that was very nice of them...
anyway, good night all!

oxygen, i don't think it's over...mspes just came out today...i say give it a week or two at least...and as the season progresses, there will still be interviews trickling in when other apps start canceling their ivs. i do understand your anxiety since i haven't received many invites myself...but don't lose hope!

Hi Everyone,
I'm new to the forum. My stats are 91/93/pass [all 1st attempt]/ green card, PhD, native english speaker, all clinical rotations were done in USA, 2 Path electives, will graduate in early 2008. I currently have 6 IVs: MUSC, ETSU, U of Buffalo, SUNY Syracuse, U. Minnesota, Danbury.
The program director at a recent IV told me that a lot of applicants to his program have PhDs and that he rejects their applications unless they have done a path elective.
Oxygen: Many program will be reviewing applications aroud mid November
