hey guys,

This forum was very helpful for me during my steps and residency match. I want to wish everyone the best and keep trying. don't give up. go sell yourself and people will appreciate you. I was in the same shoe last year and got matched. So what if they are a few rejections (i know it's suck to get rejections on weekend) but there are many programs out there. Keep looking and add more applications. Prepare for your interviews (google it and there are tons of materials that you prepare, but please please do not memorize answers from online, but it should come from you). Best advice is to be yourself. People like it when you are YOU. Good luck to all my friends.

BTW anyone got step 3 materials like kaplan step 3 pdf files? nomad1095. thanks

Don't want to add anxiety but I got 2 IVs since Friday (Richmond university staten Island and Lincoln Hospital bronx) I also had one from Kingsbrook from the week before.
I'm giving this info just because I use this thread to calm my nerves a lot, and it was not fair not to share. However it's still really early. My husband was in the match last year and he did not get anything until Oct 20th. He is PGY1 now. My scores are >250 and I'm GC, so my case is not the normal. Last yr IVs came until Jan. Wish all luck and lots of patience.

@omalizumab890
Have u noticed any change in their likelihood of sending invitation..I mean from last year?

0 - ArchivalUser - 10-06-2015

I heard from someone that PDs have prob dealing with the new PDWS software, this is why some of them don't send IV yet..So, we have to be patient!

Thank you for your inquiry to the Internal Medicine Training Program at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. We have had many numbers of qualified applicants for our positions and our decisions on whom to interview have been very difficult. After careful consideration of your application, I regret that we are unable to offer you an interview.

We sincerely appreciate your interest in our program and we wish you the best of luck in your future medical career.
