do we need to do strees test before that?

0 - ArchivalUser - 12-02-2011

m not sure but i dont think so... remember reading that sexual activity does not raise the hearts exertion as to cause ischemia... mm not sure ... ll search.

resume immediately after.. you dont specifically need to do stress test. once the patient is out of the hosp he/she can resume sex.

after mi no sex for 4-6 weeks

0 - ArchivalUser - 12-04-2011

Uptodate:
"In the first two weeks after an uncomplicated heart attack, most people are at high risk of heart-related problems during sex."
So for MI......... it should be safe after 2 weeks. Johns Hopkins med alerts say 3 weeks.
For CABG......... safe after 6 weeks
