I didn't finish all questions, only 30 of them. Will start with questions. @aparna, I think for the first time 10 questions a day is a good result, just take notes. Today started with uw .. 1. buspirone --> anti-anxiety agent, 5HT -A1 receptor agonist, no sedative, o hypnotic, no euphoria. Rx of generelized anxiety. USeful in pts with a history of abuse of anti-anxiety drugs . 2. DOnt confuse busirone and bupropion -----buspirone --> 5HT agonist, anti-anxiety -----bupropion ---> Ne, DA reuptake inhibitor. uses--> tobacco dependence, major depression, s/e--> seizures. 3. SOdium bicarbonate is the single most effective agent in treating TCA associated cardiac abnormalities. 4, Modafinil --> first line agent for narcolepsy, effective, well tolerated, non amphetamine psychostimulant. 5.Pentazocine ---> Opioid narcotic, mixed agonist-antagonist, can cause withdrawal symptoms in pts who are dependent or tolerant to morphine or other opioids . 0 - ArchivalUser - 09-04-2016 Hi Everyone, My exam is on 24 December. I am currently revising Kaplan books for my weak points and doing FA after which I will start Uworld. My Todays plan is- FA- CVS Kaplan- General Pharmacology ANS.
