Please describe how will you write orders while:-

1) doing LP for Meningitis

2) doing Thoracentesis for pleural effusion

3) doing Thoracentesis for Empyema

4) doing Cardiocentesis

5) doing Paracentesis for Knee/any joint effusion

6) doing Paracentesis for Peritoneal effusion

Each Order should describe what exact lab you want
from this procedure.

you can order LP, then order "send fluid for cell count, gram stain,leukocytes etc. etc." wt ever you think you want for particular disease.

same in Thoracentesis, order thoracentesis then order send fluid for the tests which you want to be done on that like " ph,cell ct., ldh,protein etc.

order "fluid analysis" then clerk will open a new window where you can choose all the tests you want .
