I have done 6 weeks of research in a department at a hospital. They are ready to help to get h1 visa if possible. what is the procedure to get research h1. is it possible to get that? please suggest me. your help will be highly appreciated. thanx

Talk to your dept as they know better. As long as they are not part of the yearly-cap you should be going into it very smoothly (as you don't have to wait for the fiscal year to open and the rampage of employees to request them!).
