but jay hind,
in somecases in uw it says do serum hcg any good reason why?

serum hcg is done only if you are suspecting ectopic and if urin HCG is +ve....

you are good to go if you order urine hcg in rest all the cases..becasue its a stat test and gives immediate result... serum HCG takes time...

urine is quicker - so best. Quantitative serum HCG is used mostly in ectopic pregnancy or if theres suspicion of IUD

case 80 in uw ovarian torsion and says serum b hcg quantitative
