kaplan q bank is essentially an older qbank. Thankfully medicine doesn't change much. the q are longer and there are bizzare type questions. however, its useful in terms of preparation. remember don't do those questions to build you knowledge base, use those to improve your test taking skills. and no matter how much you hate to ... use timed mode. slowly build up the number of questions.
in order to do well on the exam, you have to cover you bases. the q will leave many holes in terms of what you know. the hard fact is you have to actually review the material. during the exam your need to know the information well in order to reduce the amount of time spent on each q.
UW is frustrating and I think went overboard on the level of difficulty. there are many good questions but again there are some odd ones as well.
if your debating between uw and kaplan, do both.
