35 years old asian lady complaint of loose stools, abdominal pain, gives history of forgetting things recently. Complaints of photosenstive rash on face and arms, hyperkeratosis of skin observerd, gives h/o unhealthy eating habit. h/o ulcerative colitis in her mother. what is your diagnosis.

Stumped.... Neurological symtoms, unhealthy eating habits,gastro symptoms but no renal manifestations...?? H.U.S.?

if not these u have to bild case to look like exam case.That is not the way they ask on the exam . And he hardest part is to make a options for answer.

yeah, its pellagra(niacin deficiency)
dermatitis/ dementia/ diarrhea

U are so right guys..........It is pellagra. Unhealthy eating habits denotes towards eating only corn based diet..I made it up .Hope it helped u...
