Information regarding Canadian residency - topaz

I am a new Canadian immigrant from India,any kind soul would help me by addressing my queries about the Canadian residency-
1.Do we apply for residency after passing all the 3 exams.
2.Do we apply to specific medical schools or is there a common agency like ERAS (in US)

Help would be appreciated.

it depends, In Canada USMLEs are not much value, try to score well on EE and if you have graduated long time ago (more then 2 years) you have to take QE1 and CE1. There is something like ERAS, called CARMS, you can check their website. www.carms.ca.
