I have a doubt regarding PS . ERAS site says we can write it as long as 28,000 charecters . how long should i write . 600 to 800 words . should i address it as .. dear PD ...
? what should I adress ? should i mention my usmle ID ? where ?

My PS is 790 words (little less than 2 pages)...I wouldn't go over two pages. You do not need to put "Dear anybody", just put your name and USMLE ID on top in the header and start your statement. Below is my Header:
