i try to do summary during my reading and i came up with this list , makes it easier when u try to do a quick review ...
1st line of treament for :
1. PSVT: adenosin , 2nd IV verapamil
2. ISH ( isolated systolic HTN): HCTZ 2nd line DHP CCB
3. vent. arrythmias: lidocain , amiodarone , also procainamide can be used
4. aortic dissection : Drug of choice (DOC) BB
5. HOCM: BB
6.PVC ( only if symptomatic): BB
7.dilated cardiomyopathy : BB
8. Jervell-Lange-Nielon syndrome ( congenital long QT with deafness) : BB if asymptomatic and if symptomatic put DDD pacemaker +BB
9.best for cardiogenic odema: NTG
PS:
* only case of CHF that we dont give BB if its with AR(aortic regurg) but we can use DHO CCB or ACEi
* BB is C/I in cocain toxicity or cocain induced MI ..
*best treatment for angina : BB
but thr best for MI is ASA
*Rx of cocain MI : 1st line BDZ , then nitrates and ASA
in AS (Aortic stenosin ) dont give vasodilator or volume reducers .. cause it decreade peripheral resistance which is the main way to maintain blood pressure in this case
