55 y/o man comes to ED 2 hours after he fell on his right wrist. He has 1 year h/o CAD and 2 years h/o heartburn. Examination of the right wrist shows exquisite tenderness to palpation and swelling. The patient ask " do you thing you could prescribed celecoxib x the pain..? I've heard that it wont upset my stomach like aspirin does". The physician is reluctant to prescribed this drug because other drugs in the same category have been associated with increased risk of MI. This increased risk most likely caused by which of the following mecanism of action...?
a) greater inhibition of cyclooxigenase 1 Cox-1 than Cox 2 enzymes
b) inhibition of Cox 2 enzyme in gastric epithelial cells
c) inhibition of lipoxygenase preventing the formation of leukitriene D4 and leukotriene C4
d) inhibition of prostacyclin PGI2 formation without inhibition of thromboxanes A2 in platelets
e) Inhibition of prostaglandin E2 formation

Please anybody.....
