Glad to know that a foreign film won the oscar for "short form documentary"
Saving face - based on horrific acid attacks on women in Pakistan. World needs to know and be aware of such things so justice can be done to those affected/

'life is beautiful' won a best film award it was based on WWR-2. A german girl falls in love with a jew guy ......

Life is beautiful won in 1997, so thats remote past. But beautiful movie none the less. Netflix has some of these movies.
