A busy Family Practice in Manhattan is looking for full time medical assistants/administrative assistants. There are 2 physicians and we are growing rapidly.

Experience and learn all about US medical systems and medical office operations. You will closely observe patient care provided by our physicians, learn how US insurance systems operate, and interact administratively with real patients.

Depending on your ability, you may obtain skills in billing & coding, HR administration, and office management. These are essential to success as a physician, especially if you are planning to have your own office in the future.

But we cannot offer this position to just anyone.
Do you have these qualifications?
-US. Work permit
-Fluent in English; 2nd Languages: Japanese or Tagalog preferred
-eClinicalWorks EMR experience a plus
-USMLE (ECFMG) Step 1 and Step 2 completed, or completed Step 1 and finished studying for Step 2
-Commute must be within 1 hr using public transportation (We demand perfect attendance and punctuality)
-Able to work some Saturdays
-Opportunity available for long term commitment

Naturally the poster above is embarrassed/scared about the truth coming out and hence he/she has not made a full disclosure of practice name. However, some ex staff of this practice have brought to notice some crucial information that is not mentioned.
Please note that additional responsibilities of the above posted job have been left out (very intentionally i suspect):
-Cleaning of office restroom and general area.
-Buying meals for senior staff in office
-On occasion, you may need to do night guard job but that position is unpaid as you are permitted to sleep on the office carpet.
-important trait for this job is submissiveness and preferably have visa problems and so willing to take cash.
- perfect English skills are NOT required, only basic is sufficient.
(all as reported by ex employees, so guys beware of this "clinical job". Unless you are OK with mostly cleaning duties etc) .
