I will go with b . In this case a direct question is the best option.... bcse he needs to realize that u know what is going on in ordet to treat him and have a honest conversation about his problem and b able to help him.

That is just my humble oppinion pls correct me if i am wrong . Thanks

I think we have to confront for alcoholics and drug abusers.
