219/248/cs pass all 1st attempt; YOG 1999; GC/apply for IM
2 yrs volunteer in a US clinic
6 yrs research experiences in GI of internal medicine in US medical schools
8 publications (5 1st authors)
3yrs residency in IM and 6 yrs GI training in home country
3 yrs gap (for maternity and USMLE)

Although I had research experiences in top US medical schools, it is impossible for me to match in their IM residency programs because it is very competitive for even AMGs with good score

Any suggestions are welcome!

I think you have a very good chance.
i myself am a 1998 graduate with a PhD and 20 publications and grants.
My step 2 score is not good as you but since you have good clinical experience you have a good chance, just apply broadly.

thanks a lot for suggestions!
I got a Doctor degree of medicine (PhD equivalent degree) after I finished GI training in my home country
just worried about my low step 1 score, old YOG and gap
Good luck to you, too!
