Indian Cardiologist looking for US fellowship - batab

Hi guys
I am an interventional cardiologist practicing in India since I finished my DM cardiology in 2017.

Now I plan to move to US where I can train and practice further as a cardiologist.

I havent given any Steps yet but I have started the process.

Can you please help me with the practical probability of someone getting into cardiology fellowship after clearing USMLE exam without doing IM residency in US.

Since you are already an interventional cardiologist it will be a major Plus on your CV.
However, you will decent scores and a little research experience.
If you have connections it is the best way to reach out to people.

The only drawback is that you will NOT be able to practice in the states and will need to return to your home country in order to do so.
if you want to practice you need to start from IM residency again.
