Hi guys. I am 36 years old and considering to get into surgery, as I have been fully trained as a CV surgeon. But I really wonder if I could ever go through hard and sometimes inhumane training in surgery. If I were to finish CV surgery, I would become 44yo. Does it still sound a good idea for anybody? I really wont to do CV surgery, but I wonder I should look for other specialities.

In which country do you practice cardiovascular surgery? Do you have any research publication?

Thanks for the response. I have actually spent 5years and a half for research, that is why I am too old. I have 10 publications so far. Do you know anybody who is trying to become a surgeon like my age? I am really wonder how I could endure the hard training.
