Dean's Letter -

ecfmg says that if I am unable to get Dean's letter from my med school,they will produce a dean's letter in place of it. Does this affect my chances of residency in any way?
Also can anybody tell me that if it is necessary to get the dean's letter written in same format as given by the ecfmg?

no it is not necessary to be in the same format of the ecfmg , you can ask your school to write good things about you ! but you can ask somebody american grad, our schools are so bad in dean's letter
