if we cut the innervation from muscle in upper limb,what will happen to the muscle?
decrease myofibril diameter or myofibril number or what?
any one know the exact answer?

muscle atrophies.....in other woords decrease in the no of myofibrils.

but atrophy means decrease in mass
i dont know the exact answer but if we compare it to hyperplasia: increase in no
hypertrophy: increase in size

Atrophy would result in decrease in muscle mass i.e the loss of the ability of the muscle fibres to regenerate themselves. The other terms are:
Aplasia: Failure of cell production eg organ agenesis
Hypoplasia: decrease in cell production less severe than aplasia eg lack of growth or maturation of gonads in turners' etc
Atrophy: Decrease in size of organ due to decrease in mass of pre-existing cells.
I guess that means that the muscle fibers will shrink.

i think its decrease in myofibril diamater.
decrease in myofibril number is death of myofibril which doesnot happen in atrophy.
