this program has a rural focus. i did not receive the formal contract but a contractual letter of acceptance instead. in the contractual letter of acceptance, it requires me to sign and date. can i request a copy of contract from the program? one concern that i have is that, can there be something hiding in their contract? for example, can a program require their residents to work in a rural areas for 5 years after residency? i dont mind doing something like that but i just wonder if they have other conditions. help plz

NO - they CANNOT do that. All residents will receive the same contract, and it is quite standard.
Usually these contracts are for 1 year. This gives the program some protection in case they need to let you go, which rarely happens.

I got the contract yesterday and basicly it states your responsibility, hospital's responsibility, your stipends as a resident, and by when you have to clear step 3 etc.
